Dr. Awilda Wilson
Holistic Health Practitioner
With over 40 years in the healthcare field, I've learned about a variety of health trends, philosophies, protocols, and assessments. During that time I have seen individuals 'experiment' with some questionable methods in the search for something that would help improve their overall health.

It's sad to see the lengths at which some individuals are willing to go, in an effort to avoid making some nutritional and lifestyle modifications. Our society has become one of instant gratification. This mindset is not one that is conducive to maintaining a good quality of life.

On the other hand, there are those that are ready and willing to do whatever is necessary to improve their quality of life and health. Whether it involves making some dietary changes, adding some physical activity to their day, uncovering unresolved trauma, or working on stress management. It's these individuals that see the most significant improvements to their overall health, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Where do you begin?
It all begins with a conversation. Let's sit down and go over your current health concerns, health history, any medications, supplements, and labs you may have had done recently.
I will do my best to help you understand why and where your current health picture got to this point. Sometimes just knowing how you may have been unknowingly contributing to your health picture is enough to get the motivation to start turning things around.
We will then formulate a plan to move forward. It may include:
- ordering some labs
- in-house health assessments
- proper supplement plan
- a specific meal plan
- natural therapies
- and in some cases, a referral to the proper medical professional for necessary testing or follow-up.
Keep in mind that I am not a Medical Professional. I am a Board Certified Traditional Naturopath. I want to make sure that the lines are clear as to where my expertise and scope of practice reaches.
If during our visit I believe that you should also be seeing a practitioner in another field, I will let you know. However, that doesn't mean that there are not things that can be done in the natural healthcare arena. Optimal health is best achieved when all health professionals work together for the benefit of the client.
